Apologies if I've posted this before, but what could be nicer than watching a proper plane doing circuits?

cant beat the sound of the old jets. vc10 was the best i think.lived about 5 miles from ringway but could still hear it after it had landed.especially early morning.

Okay, I accept that they may be painted grey and designated KC-135's, but you can still see them (plus the odd RC-135) circuit-bashing almost every day of the year at RAF Mildenhall. Bootiful!!

It was down to the engines, the core of the JT3D was based on those smokey old JT3C turbojets that planes like the B52 used to have.
Add water injection and they could lay down a smokescreen across an airport!
