For those that can get Al Jazeera, they are showing some sort of expose type program this Wednesday at 2100.
Good spot! Set up my Sky Plus. It's channel 514 for those with a Sky system.
Thanks for the heads-up on that E-D. Hope you're well, sir.
Al Jazeera is also on Freeview and Freeview HD
but has changed its EPG number in the last week so if you want to catch it, update the channels.
I wonder how much Mr Al Baker will be involved as Al Jazeera is based in Doha and owned by the same group of people as Qatar Airways?
For those that missed it, it's on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvkEpstd9os
Lots of what I consider padding in there, and the last few minutes if anything damaged Boeing's credibility hugely when that British-sounding PR
bloke broke into the interview with the 787 Vice-President geezer. That more than any other part of the piece made it look like Boeing had something to hide.
Much of it was covering old ground of what we already know about. I wanted to see something on the GEnx faults and various gearbox issues but that never happened. Still, with the presence of Abouailfa and Ostrower in the piece it did give it some extra credibility as both are notoriously pro-Boeing.
The usual suspects over at a.net are doing the ad hominem stuff about Qatar and terrorism (because it's Al Jazeera) as well as unions at Seattle. Which is a smokescreen for the real issue; untrained Charleston workers building planes. Boeing set it all up way too fast if you ask me. I'd much prefer to fly on something built by people with proper experience and training than someone hired off the street who was flipping burgers last week.
This will go the way of the 737NG stuff. All smoothed over using plenty of dollars and financial muscle.
