I just seen that
LOT has yet another special livery. How many are in the fleet now? I remember at 1 point when i lived in Warsaw they had 7 including Star alliance. Now though I think they got more.
LOT don't have the biggest fleet so this is quite a high %. has any other airline had so many at the same time?
Ryanair used to do logojets. They still do carry advertising on the body of many aircraft.
That
LO Embraer I think you are referencing is presumably like the Air New Zealand Hobbit 777s. The airline gets paid by a sponsor to operate a flying billboard.
TUI Airlines in Germany (the former HapagFly/Hapag Lloyd operation) also has a number of current logojet schemes for advertisers.
It can be a handy source of revenue for an airline. Ryanair has that "Communitat Valencia" sticker on quite a few planes and their Jaguar 737 was a thing of beauty....
I saw the JAG 737 but never got picture. I do have shot of the Eircell and News of the world. I think they had a killkenny beer too.
JAL and
ANA had some good special schemes, my favourite was the whale schemes of
ANA but alas never got to see them.
JAL were sponsored by Disney with their Dream Express, in 2001 there were six on the go, I only saw two, named 'Friends' and 'Sweet'.
ANA countered with Pikachu'.

There was a Vodafone one as well. All money in the pot after all.
