Looks like a few diversions this evening: some off to Leeds and Birmingham, was watching a Ryanair on FR
24 and was circling around Yorkshire and was the pattern of the Irish Clover
There was a storm overhead Stockport around tea time. A TC A321 was one of the last to land and she had a couple of close calls with lightening all around her. Some very angry low clouds, lightening and torrential rain at twilight made a spectacular sight.
I'm surprised that any aircraft attempted to land in those conditions.
Manchester town centre now flooded too.
They changed the runway around five, interesting to see the differing holding patterns and planes moving from one pattern to another almost adjacent, perhaps to avoid the weather.
It took our electrics out completely for around a minute.
