I see that the viewing area at the end of Diseworth road has had green covers put on the fence to stop people viewing. What spoilsports
Is this just on the main gate at the top of the road? OR all along the fence line.
They was not happy with all the CRAP alterations at the main airport, which from all accounts they have lost 1000000s from the cafe and bar that you could go in and have a beer or tea etc.So it looks like they do not want you to see any air craft now.
Who the hell done this?
Does anyone know if this is going to be permanent and if so why it has been done? My wife enjoys watching planes (she finds it relaxing) and we tried to go along to Diseworth Lane over the weekend only to find these green sheets everywhere.
They go all the way around the perimeter fence by the look of it, and all the usual spotting places seem to be covered. I can't see any evidence of building or survey work, so all I can assume is that they're trying to stop spotters from being able to see the airport.
I'm quite irate about it, since as I said my wife finds it to be one of the nicest things to do of an evening and anything that makes her happy makes me happy too (as she shouts less ;-).
I was there last Friday and again on Monday.Tarpaulins stop about 20ft to east of the gate.Spotting from there is still possible if you dodge the mud.You won't see anything from inside a car.
