Can any one shed any light on 2 static calls one is 7E6BOO
,The other is C8
7EE8 I think these appear near Hucknall and the other near Loughborough.one moment there are on screen the next gone, puzzling me
They are Mode S codes for ground systems, either vehicles or radar. These are becoming more common as Mode S becomes integrated into ATC systems.
I believe that 76EB00 (aka 'EMA
North') and C8
7EE8 (aka 'EMA
South') are both fixed emitters associated with EMA
ops. Amongst other things, they seem to be capable of transmitting random latitude/longitude co-ordinates - which perhaps explains why they only appear intermittently on your screen.
